About

Built by a producer who got tired of guessing

MixSense started with a frustration that most producers know too well: spending hours on a mix, watching it back the next morning, and wondering why it still didn't sound right.

After 6+ years of making music and studying audio engineering, the founder realized something that changed everything: the problem wasn't the tools, the plugins, or the room. It was the ears. Specifically — the ability to hear what needed to change, quickly and confidently.

Traditional ear training existed, but it was built for classical musicians — intervals, chord recognition, sight-singing. None of it was designed for the modern producer sitting in front of a DAW trying to figure out why the low end sounds muddy or the vocal isn't cutting through.

So MixSense was built from scratch to solve that exact problem. Not a course. Not a plugin. A training app — structured, gamified, and specifically designed for the skills that matter in mixing: EQ perception, compression awareness, stereo balance, and effects recognition.

The idea was simple: what if ear training could feel like Duolingo? Short daily sessions, clear progress tracking, and a score that proves your ears are actually getting better. Something you'd want to open every day, not something that feels like homework.

Today, MixSense is used by over 10,000 producers in 50+ countries — from bedroom beatmakers to audio engineering students to working professionals brushing up their skills. The app is available on iOS, Android, and the web, and the core experience is completely free.

We're a small, independent team, and we're just getting started. If you have feedback, ideas, or just want to say hi — we'd love to hear from you at support@mixsense.co.

What we believe

Ears over gear

The most expensive plugin means nothing if you can't hear what it's doing. We build tools that sharpen perception first.

Active over passive

Watching tutorials isn't practice. Our exercises are interactive and require you to listen, think, and decide. That's how real learning works.

Consistency over intensity

Five minutes a day beats a three-hour session once a month. MixSense is designed for daily habit, not occasional cramming.

Accessible to everyone

Great mixing shouldn't be gatekept by expensive courses or studio access. Our core experience is free, works on any device, and starts from zero.
